Any suggestions on acne fighting skin care products?

I am almost 30 years old and I STILL have acne. I tried Proactive, but it was not effective. Any other suggestions?Any suggestions on acne fighting skin care products?
I'm not really impressed with Proactiv either, to tell you the truth. Check out my source for some recommended anti-acne products.Any suggestions on acne fighting skin care products?
See a dermatologist for best results. They have pretty strong acne medicine, they can prescribe you, that's right for your skin type. They can also give you like medicated face wash, and stuff. It worked for my sister!
The only product that really works is ';Abrione's ';Vanishing Point 7.5';

you wont be dissapointed it may seem pricey but for the results you get it's really worth it

go to a dermatologiest. When i had acne the dermatologist told me to use cetaphill cleanser and moisturizor...I'll let you know which other 2 prescriptions he gave me

I cannot tell you about other lines but the skin care regimen I use is ARBONNE, specially their antiaging care which is wonderful. the best thing is that they are formulatted with botanical principles and formulatted without mineral oil, animal prooducts or fragrances which all these ingredients are very harmfull for our skin.. Mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skins health for it is like rubbing car oil on our skin and exposing ourselfes to the sun, animal products come from dead animals and these come from rendering plants these plants pick all dead animal and dead animal parts (from meat houses, etc.) and they put it in a huge pot, squash everything and boils it, what ever comes to the top is the oil other companies use to elaborate thier products, gross I know...the lipstick... ewww anyway, that is why i use botanically based products which is way much better because they get absorbed and the nutrients inside the products is what helps our skin look and feel healthy... check it out it is called ARBONNE and i buy them online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com ...under shop online.... and you could even ask for a free sample for their anti aging line with no need to buy anything i have herd hydroderms have charged people without their permission and have some problems....http://www.complaints.com/directory/2005鈥?/a> .... anyway, Arbonne is not sold in stores but it is a great way to buy becasue they have this money back guarantee if for some reason there is something you do not like form the products you get your money back guarantee (within 45 days from purchase) so you have nothing to loose.... only some lines;~)Has you ever tried Hydroderms skin care products? This is all you need, Excellent and Excellent!! Highly recommended!

Is it possible for trace amounts of skin care products to get into your blood stream?

I've heard of it happening before, but wasn't sure if its really possible. Is it possible for trace amounts of skin care products to get into your blood stream?
Yes - our bodies also absorb all kinds of toxins from the environment.

What is the proper order to use skin care products in?

If you're using cleanser, toner, exfoliator, a face mask, spot gel and moisturiser what order are you meant to use them in? :SWhat is the proper order to use skin care products in?
    CLEANSE to remove make up

CLEANSE AGAIN to remove dirt and and impurities

EXFOLIATE to remove dead skin cells

    FACE MASK

TONER to remove any cleanser, exfoliator or mask from the skin

    MOISTURISE

SPOT GEL to be applied to the affected areas.

You only need to exfoliate once or twice a week same goes for a face mask.

Always remember to cleanse twice, as the first time will only remove the make up the second time will actually cleanse the skin. What is the proper order to use skin care products in?
glad you asked because doing things in a wrong order can not only mess up your face but it can feel like its not working and look that way to so the correct order would be to wash your face with wat ever face wash you have 4 example a bar of soap although i wouldn't recommend unless you have an oily face step 2 would be to put toner because even though it might feel like all that dirt is of your face its really not alot could be in your pores and a toner helps remove that step 3 would be to

moisturise remember moisturising is a very important part keeps your face looking healthy if you can find a moisturiser that has spf to help with the sun and your complexion that would make it even better step 4 is optional its to add your acne medisane like i know thers this new one called Epiduo.its to help with mild acne but if your not stressed with that's its all good but any ways if your not up to all this they have clean and clear packs , nutragena packs , pro active and so on that have steps on the back to tell you what to do hope that helpz!!!! luv vanz
Use a cleanser first to clean your skin. Then a toner which will close your pores a little bit so that they don't become so easily blocked. Splashing cold water on your face has exactly the same effect as a toner and is free from the tap. Then moisturise your face. Use the spot gel on individual spots, wipe away excess lotion from the area first.

To put on a face mask do it after you have cleaned your face. Then put on toner and moisturiser.

Use the exfoliating cleanser in place of the cleanser, but only once or twice a week because it takes a while for your skin to grow new cells and you could cause damage and dry out your skin otherwise.
For the morning time I would have to say cleanser, toner, then moisturizer. If you have any bad spots then moisturizer then spot gel. For the evening I would use a cleanser or a face mask, not both. Especially if you have dry skin. If you have oily then a cleanser and mask could be ok. Cleanser first, then mask 2nd. After I would use a toner, and spot gel. I usually dont moisturize at night. And for exfoliating, I would only exfoliate 1-4 times a week. Exfoliaters remove dead skin and also help to rejuvianate your skin but it can dry it out if you overly use it.

I really hope this helps =]
manuel exfoliaters (with grains) ONLY 0-2 times weekly depending on if you have acne.. if you have acne, skip it. dont make it up another day...I like to use it in the morning. USe that BEFORE cleansing, then do your regular routine: CLEANSER, (mask if it was one of those 2 times a week of exfoliating- mine is monday and friday morning...if I dont exfoliate bc of pimples, i at least use mask if just primes your face really well), TONER, spot gel (if required on pimples)...stuff capitalized is regular twice a day, morning and night

    \

you should also think of protection or moisturizer after toning.
Well, for day time....cleanser, toner, moisturizer. At night cleanse, mask, toner, spot gel and then moisturizer. Only exfoliate your face 1-3 times per week, and it should be done after your cleanser.
exfoliate then cleanse, tone, face mask, moisturise and spot gel.

    everyday cleanse tone and moisturise.
exfoliate, face mask, toner, cleanser, moisturizer, spot gel.

Is it better to have never used skin care products in your life ?

Because my mother never used any products like scrubs, foaming wash, skin toners, moisturizing creams and her skin is beautiful

my skin is so so, not very uniform and and I'm wondering if should really bother with those products since I'm at a turing point in my life = 24, my skin is still youthful but will get older and older in the years to come, so what is the best thing to do for my skin ?Is it better to have never used skin care products in your life ?
Yes, I am 50 and look about 30. Do not smoke cigarettes. You will look like an old hag after 3 years of smoking regardless of age.Is it better to have never used skin care products in your life ?

Maybe, maybe not. However, if you don't regulary clean and exfoliate your skin can become greasy and dull. Exfoliation boosts blood circulation while cleansing skin removes dirt, grease and residue.

The natural oils in your skin could clean itself, though.

Does anyone know how to get rid of pimples without any facial skin care products?

i have a couple of pimples on my forehead,i need to get rid of them by Friday can anyone help me please?Does anyone know how to get rid of pimples without any facial skin care products?
I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

After 12 years in this profession I find that most of my patients who deal with acne or brekout problems DO NOT SEE RESULTS from commercial products sold at drung stores or the mall. They usually contain too much benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or sulfur which tends to OVER DRY the skin and cause itching or irritations.

Also, home remedies such as lemon juice or alcohol or toothpaste SHOULD NEVER BE USED because they cause small tears in the skin and leave the skin more susceptible to bacteria that causes pimples or acne.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

Teenagers going through hormonal and growth changes are prone to acne.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

    Good Luck to you,

MichelleDoes anyone know how to get rid of pimples without any facial skin care products?
when ur in the shower rub ur face while shampooing. i do that and have had a clear complexion since doing it for like a year now. oh and dont put ur hair in a poy tail because it causes ur face to become oily for some reason but at the same time keep ur hair outta ur face
Have u tryed not washing your face with anything like me i have to not wash my face just get a wet wash cloth and wipe it off good but dont use anything but u can still use make up but no soap or lotion or anything and my face has been acne free since i was 13 cause b4 then i had the worst acne ever i swore i looked like a pizza face lol but now its all good smooth and pimple free
hi dear. just follow old is gold technique. A mixture of saffire, alovera, turmeric powder, rose water or soya milk gives best results. use it as a face pack daily, before u sleep. wash it off after 15-20 min. result may b slow( 2-3 weeks), but it prevents acne completely.TRY IT......*,*......
lemon juice and basil or toothpaste. the lemon juice and basil stings, but it works. The best thing is really just getting a sun burn. Even though it's bad for you, it's a fool proof way to get rid of pimples fast.
wash your face 2 times a day, and dont wear any make up, and get lots of sun on your face. it will clear up right away.

and of course, you might have to pop them int he sun doesnt clear them up.
i guess you could try hydrogen peroxide on them, it drys the area out and hopefully kills the pimple, that's all i know that could work..good luck
Wash your face with a mild soap and don't touch them because oils from your hands will get on them.
drink lots of water it should make your skin less oily and the pimples should dissipate.
    Baking soda and water. :)

Are these skin care products safe during pregnancy?

Hi - I'm hoping to get pregnant in the near future, and would like to know if anyone is aware if Shi' Jano skin care products and products containing AHA's are safe to use during pregnancy. Thanks. Are these skin care products safe during pregnancy?
Since there are so many skin care products available these days, it would be impossible to answer this, without knowing all the ingredients in the product. I am sure there must be contact information on the packaging, either by phone or email. Please contact the company and ask for a list of all ingredients. Then, once you have that list, call your gynecologist and/or your dermatologist, to ask this question. Pregnancy is too precious a time to hope that one of us on Yahoo answers could answer this correctly. I do know that AHA's can make your skin more sun sensitive, but brief web searches show nothing else. Until you get to the doctors, try to hold off on pregnancy, until you get their opinions. In the meantime, you can do websearches for things like ';AHA skin care during pregnancy';. If you have ever used Accutane, speak to your gynecologist before trying to become pregnant. Are these skin care products safe during pregnancy?
You are most welcome, Penny. I am glad to help when I can. Report Abuse

You don't need to worry about that yet, since you're not pregnant and you need to talk to your doctor about that
