honestly, people have suggested hundreds of products to me for my skin over the years, and having the same skin as you have described, i've only found one product that i'm comfortable with. i use olay daily moisturizer every day after i get out of the shower -- nothing else, and not the oil-free kind. it keeps my skin firm, moisturized but not greasy, and gives it a healthy glow. good luck, hope this works for you!
Get Cetaphil.. It's like the best! There isn't a strong scent, you can wash your face twice a day without irritation and it has a fairly big bottle so you won't have to buy one every month. To make your skin less dry, use moisturizer on your face after you shower.

I personally cannot use Avon or Mary Kay products ... I have very sensitive skin ... products by Nicole Miller work great for me. I don't have it with me so I'm not sure of the exact name, but Nicole Miller does have a great under eye cream.
Also, for makeup, I use every day minerals and they have a ';concealer'; (called Sunlight) that is specifically for hiding the under eye circles. I have used it and it does work.

but for your problem try preparation h for hemorrhoids this works it takes swelling down for the other why not the eyes as well and all your fav movie stars use this as well only a small amount is needed and do at night before bed and don't get into eyes and wash hands after give it a try

well i guess you have a combination skin though because one of the big reason for acne to happen is because your skin is dry on your cheeks and oily on other areas but the inner oil glands are not able to push the toxins out hence acne occurs. i would recommend you to use a face wash, toner and moisturiser as a basic. However, its not what you use, sometimes its the brand. i would say clinique for men is good. my husband use to have many of those pimple and acne problems and because im using clinique i recommended him as well and now he is cured. maybe you can seek opinion with the consultant at the counter and they will teach you accordingly. no harm asking for samples to try for a month :) it may help

for a guy, basically i know you would never being doing all of this but you deff. need to be cleansing twice a day. try some products like basic cream/foam cleansers and if you dint like them try something with a gentle scrub in it.
i would also advise you to buy a toner, i use netrogena pore cleaner or something, its a clear bottel with blue liquid. use this if you notice your starting to break out, it really helps me ( i have oily skin with the occasional break out). Also buy a moisturizer if you ever feel your skin being dry, or after you tone. Just buy a basic one, maybe with some spf if you'll use it in the morning before you go outside.

for a guy, basically i know you would never being doing all of this but you deff. need to be cleansing twice a day. try some products like basic cream/foam cleansers and if you dint like them try something with a gentle scrub in it.
i would also advise you to buy a toner, i use netrogena pore cleaner or something, its a clear bottel with blue liquid. use this if you notice your starting to break out, it really helps me ( i have oily skin with the occasional break out). Also buy a moisturizer if you ever feel your skin being dry, or after you tone. Just buy a basic one, maybe with some spf if you'll use it in the morning before you go outside.

Neutrogena's great. I also use proacvtive, but I stopped using it for a while because it dried out the skin underneath my eyebrows causing it to flake. A few months ago I started using it again but it seems to have lost its effect on my skin. I'm holding out though just in case. Good luck!

I just recieved my new Clinique Acne Solutions from ordering it online. I have always loved Clinique, but I started to break out and I saw that they came out with new Acne system so I had to try it. I love it. It isn't as harsh as Proactiv because it's soap/toner are made with salysic acid. The 3rd step is a benzoyl peroxide lotion and that's what really treats blemishes.
I have naturally normal/oily skin and when I wake up my skin is really oily. Only a week ago I got it and since then i've woken up with dramatically less-oily skin and my blemishes are going away and my skin isn't dry.

Try any of St.Ives scrubs %26amp; facewashes, trust me i've been using them for over a year, i used to have real bad spotty skin, but after using it for about 2 weeks my skin was VERY noticably clearer. :)
OK, if your break outs are bad and nothing is working then definitely ask your health care professional or dermatologist about retin-a, doxycycline (a form of tetracycline; a pill you take that STOPS break outs.), and Differin. They are all prescription and they all work great.
As for washing your face, use Cetaphil! It's a soft bar soap that cleans your skin without drying it out. You can get it anywhere and it's recommended by my dermatologist!

Although the skin care products are slightly more than others they do last for months and in my opinion they are worth the price tag.

I know this may sound stupid or too commonly used, but seriously drink water. Drink as much as five to seven glasses of water each day. I didn't believe it until I gave it a chance and know my skin has gotten smoother and cleaner.
Remember to wash your face in the morning and night too! I usually do this thing with my face I call frostbite. I use a clean cloth and rinse it with cold water and wash my face with it. When your face dries, it will become kind of cold and kind of stiff.
After use a clean and clear sensitive skin deep cleaning formula (it's blue) and it helped me a lot. Just remember to use a clean cotton ball or a cotton swab and put some of the formula on it and scrub gently on places you would like to clean. After, wait about a minute and rinse with mild water. When you wake up, wash your face and use the clean and clear wash if needed.
Oh ya, remember not to drink water before you sleep because it can cause panda eyes (dark circles).

i really like proactive. But i also like any sort of apricot scrub. As far as foundation goes its true it always makes the problem worse. However, i use Dinair Airbrush Makeup and its all water based so its not bad for your skin. its the only foundation that i found that has not made my skin worse off.

untill I tryed the avenno products that say helps prevent breakouts not my skin is soft and clear and a more even skin tone

For an exfoliater, you could get a St. Ives one, but don't use that more than once a day if your skin is very sensitive or dries out quickly.

Dermalogica....kinda expensive but it works wonders :) for exfoliatin use skin prep scrub from dermalogica mix it with a little bit of water rub it in and wash off leaves my skin feelins lovely :)

Benzoyl Peroxide; and
Differin gel at night.

I love Aveeno, skin relief body wash. It has natural colloidal oatmeal in it, Very Nice, works great. Me and my son use it for lots of little irritations. Hope that helps.

Can my skin become immune to skin care products?
I have been using ProActive skin care for about a month and a half now. It works wonderfully! For about three weeks. Now I'm starting to break out again. Could my skin be growing immune to it? I use a simple oatmeal mask 2-3 times a week on my face.
Mix warm water or milk with small amount of quick cooking plain oatmeal. It should be a soft paste. Apply to your face and let it dry for about 10 minutes.
If it gets too dry add olive oil to the mix before applying. Moisturize with Aloe.
My face feels so soft and clean after I use it.

Mix warm water or milk with small amount of quick cooking plain oatmeal. It should be a soft paste. Apply to your face and let it dry for about 10 minutes.
If it gets too dry add olive oil to the mix before applying. Moisturize with Aloe.

It actually almost looks like candle wax LOL but u apply it with a sponge (included when u buy it) its colorless n smells good too. Its a great mattifier n controls oil. I use it in conjunction with Peter Thomas Roth Max Anti-Shine Mattifying Gel for the oilier areas (in my case: nose) and they work wonders. A bit pricier than drugstore brands but in somes cases u get what u pay for!

For face Roc is really good, its made for people with excema or psoriasis, so cleanser, toner and face cream each morning or night, You may also want to get an emoillent face scrub to use a few times a week
-also get a humidifer in your bedroom-not sure if you live in a cold climate like I do but that really helps bc the furnace drys your skin out like crazy and then going in the cold weather doesnt help
-for body, I like dove cream to oil body wash and using a glove exfoliater helps get rid of the dead skin so the lotions can do their job, i find that putting Baby Oil Gel or just baby oil on while im almost finshed my shower works and/or then a body cream with lactic acid in it
-change the detergent that you use to wash your clothes to something really gentle like Ivory, Tide is the worst especially for bath towels, bc there is still traces of it on the towel and when you dry yourself off after a shower your body heat almost reactivates it and it leaves a film on your skinWhat skin care products are excellent for very dry, scratchy skin?

Sanex body wash is brilliant.

Have normal skin %26amp; was wondering before I outlay a small fortune if anyone has a tried %26amp; tested brand that they would recommend cause they use it %26amp; have seen a huge difference in the condition of their skin or is it a waste of money %26amp; time altogether using anything? I use Aveeno, I spend about $7 every other month for the Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser. Most of the time I buy it on sale before I run out, so I save a dollar or two. And I pick up the Cleansing Pads every few months for during the day when I sweat.What skin care products do you use to keep your skin clear?
It all depends on YOUR skin, not everyone's is the same. but if you go out and try like proactiv or something, and find that it's not working, then tone it down. go down to just washing your face morning and nights only. do a clay mask once a week, drink ALOT of water and whatever you do DONT POP THEM! if you MUST get rid of it, use two q-tips. your fingernails will scar your skin and make it more red.
try using a coldcream, then a toner, then a lotion with benzol proxide acne medi (whatever its called) haha. dont use products that all have the acne medication, it'll most likely dry your skin out, causing your body to produce more oils in that area and give you even more pimples!
to narrow that down.... just don't overdo your washing routine. baby your face, not scrub the fckjclkajc out of it.
atm I am using Neutrogena Deep clean scrub, it's just a tiny sample size coz I'm gonna buy a cleanser from lush soon. I use a nivea moisturizer and a body shop seaweed exfoliator. Since I'm going to a specialist for my skin now I'm not really putting too much effort into choosing good skin care products. Probably.... $25 max. There are lots of good, cheap products out there.
I use the Harnn and Thann line of all natural and paraben free skin care from Thailand. It is a little more expensive but like they say - you get what you pay for. I also like that it is an exclusive line that not many of heard of... (It's not just for men either)

i usually put some toothpaste on my zits. Then I brush my teeth and put my hair up while it works. After words, I use Noxema facial scrub and then rinse with cold water. Then, apply aloe vera gel to face. Then lightly take sea breeze and a few sheets of toliet paper and blot face. It works for me.
all avon products! they're about $7 each for any cleanser, scrub, etc.! they work for my skin, and it keeps my skin clear. its a cheaper alternative that works compared to other stuff!
